P5 Young Enterprise

P5 took part in a Young Enterprise workshop on Monday. Emma and Eva tell us more...

Young Enterprise is a programme that teaches children how to plan out a city and what buildings to put in it. We firstly created a city by getting card and folding it into the shape of a building and putting it into the city centre, an industrial area or the countryside. Next we planned our restaurant. We thought about the type of customers, the location, the type of food, the decoration, the type of music, the name, the menu, phone number and special offers. We wrote stories and drew pictures for a pretend newspaper called "The New Shop Smiggle" and "Beautiful Boys on the Loose"! We had a great morning and learned lots!
